On our
way to Twillingate, we remembered where we were and what we were doing on
September 11, 2001 as we toured the North
Atlantic Aviation
Museum.
Memories of that sad day of horrible events
remained with us as we left Gander.
A cross section of an I beam from the Twin Towers.
A “Newfie” dinner and show rounded out our day of
travel. It was a fun evening enjoying
some corny jokes and predictable skits by this group.
Shades of the long-running show “Hee-Haw” found favor
with the performers as they maintained the corny qualities of backwoods humor.
The “dummy” was in the suitcase he rolled out onto the
stage! It was all hokey stuff that made
for a very entertaining evening.
The night would bring very heavy rains to rattle on our RV
roofs.
