We docked at 10 am in Newfoundland
and exited the ferry heading for St.
John. All rigs survived the journey and were happy to
be reunited with their drivers. Gee, the
rigs seemed extra spacious after our sojourn in those little cabins. We began
our drive and the rains began. Between mile 32 and 33, Janet spotted a beaver
lodge in a pond on the right was very excited to spot some wildlife but saw no
Beavers. There were several Moose signs
but no one saw any moose. The weather
continued to be unpleasant but we all found the Pippy Park campground and
pulled into our sites with great
sighs of relief. We had nice long pull-thrus with 50amp power. Whoopee!
So, we didn't have to unhook the toad until the rain let up. After a short rest we met in a lovely
building for social hour and a great buffet provided by the Shaafs and
Scotts. The green beans were wonderful
as was the rest of the dinner. Tired but
full, we headed off to our campers for a good night's sleep in our own beds.
