Today
started out bright and early with a trip to Bonaventure Island to view the northern
gannet colony.
Prior to the
boat ride around Perce Rock and Bonaventure Island, we viewed an excellent
video about the various bird species on the Island.
Following
the video many people found interesting reading and learning in the various
exhibits in the interpretation center.
We were told
we would see birds on the cruise. We did
see birds ---lots and lots of birds along with seals frolicking in the water.
Several took
the opportunity to hike the 2.6 KMs to see the bird colonies.
Following
that little excursion we all came home to prepare for the potluck.
Here we go
--- eating again but oh so yummy.
This was
followed by a rousing game of Bingo using Caravaners names instead of
numbers. Several took home great prizes.
